It’s not easy to choose the best webcam for your need, yet it’s not too hard either. Here are some tips that might be useful for you before choosing a webcam.

  1. The first think you have to consider before buying is your budget. Don’t go over budget and adjust with your needs.
  2. Choose webcam with good resolutions & frame rate. Most webcams will have either 320×240 or 640×480, and webcam with 30 frame rate per second is a good one. I’ll go for 640×80 if I have an extra budget.
  3. Glass lense is better than plastic.Glass lense will give you clearer images.
  4. I love extra features. Buy a webcam will lots of extra features such pan, tilt, and also manual focus.
  5. Notice the webcam cable connection. Most webcams sold today uses USB interface, so please do check your PC for USB port. If you don’t have a USB port, you have to buy webcam with Parallel or Serial port.
  6. How old is you PC? Older PC’s usually don’t support webcams. Check the minimum requirement and match it with you PC before choosing a webcam.
