Joomla 1.0.14 RC1 Released

Today, the Joomla core team released Joomla 1.0.14 RC1 code name Daybreak. This release fixed several security issues in the previous Joomla 1.0.x version. The core team advice all site powered by Joomla 1.0.x to be upgraded with Joomla 1.0.14 RC1.

When the team released Joomla 1.0.13 they said that Joomla 1.0.13 will be the last version of 1.0.x before they finally release the new Joomla 1.5. They will only release a new version if there was a major security issues in Joomla 1.0.13.

  • Fixed CSRF issue allowing portal compromise - Administrator component
  • Fixed XSS issue in com_search
  • Fixed XSS issue in search results pages
  • Fixed multiple typos in back end com_content making array integer check ineffective

If you wish to upgrade to Joomla 1.0.14 RC1, you also have to make sure that update it with the correct patch package. For example, if you currently have version 1.0.13 installed you will need the 1.0.13 to 1.0.14 RC1 patch package.

What you actually mean by RC?

RC stands for Release

RC stands for Release Candidate. It means that its not stable yet, but you can use it on live production site.
