Linux Kernel 2.6.24 Was Released

A few hours ago, Linux Torvalds, the man behind the well-known Linux open source operating system announced the release of Linux Kernel 2.6.24. Linus said that he hope that this kernel release is a good one.

What is new in Kernel2.6.24

  • More optimized CFQ scheduler
  • Anti-fragmentation patches
  • Huge collection of wireless drivers
  • USB authorization
  • Task Control Groups
  • Linux Kernel Markers
  • Read-only bind mounts

Meanwhile, Linus will attend LCA conference in Melbourne University, Australia next week. Be sure to meet him there :).
